Intex Custom Homes has formed a new real estate sales branch called RealtyWorks NorthWest. It will be the primary sales company for Intex's own homes, as well as a full-service real estate office for clients looking to buy and sell homes throughout the Portland metropolitan area.

"Our intent in forming this company is to offer a full array of services so that we can make the buying and selling experience as seamless and pleasant as possible. The whole idea is ‘real estate that works for you,'" said Intex president Joe Bauschelt.

Heading RealtyWorks Northwest is Glenn Matz, a Realtor with a history of selling original Arts & Crafts-era homes in Northeast Portland.

Matz began his real estate career in 2000 as a sales associate with RE/Max Equity Group. From 2005 to his recent move to RealtyWorks NorthWest, he worked with Keller Williams Realty Inc., working mainly in Portland's inner northeast side, location of numerous neighborhoods of homes built in the 1910s through 1930s.

"I was selling the original versions of what Intex is building now, so I'm well versed in the kinds of architectural elements that Intex specializes in," Matz said.

"This idea of working with a great home builder selling a great product is very exciting to me," Matz continued. "The craftsmanship of Intex homes, along with all the green features the company incorporates into each one, is unlike anything on the market today."
